Dear friends,
We would like to cordially invite you to attend our seminar on:
“Sustainable mobility & industrial revolution(s):
the automotive case”
Tuesday 8th of November 2016, 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Confrontations Europe Office (19-21, rue du Luxembourg, Brussels)
According to Michael Cramer (MEP, Green, Germany, chair of the Transport and Tourism Committee): “The transport sector is responsible for 24% of all the CO2 emissions in the EU. The road sector alone accounts for 72% of transport emissions in Europe”. These figures point out the fundamental role of the automotive industry in the transition towards sustainable mobility.
In the same time, automotive industry is facing major industrial mutations. Electric car, connected car, automated car, etc.: technological disruptions both enable the creation of innovative products and services and impose profound changes in productive processes.
The objective of this seminar is to assess these trends and their compatibility/complementarity in order to build further policy recommendations.
Forecasted speakers are:
• Arnaud Chatin, Head of EU Representation Office, Michelin
• Per Österström, Area Manager Transport and Automotive Industry, Cluster & Industry Development, Business Region Göteborg
• Lucilla Siolli, DG Connect, European Commission
